Astros.MLB.com's Alyson Footer reports Houston Astros C Koby Clemens, 1B Mark Ori and C Jeremy Goethals were arrested after several members of the Salem Avalanche were at a popular Salem, Va., restaurant Saturday, Aug. 30. Clemens and Ori were charged with disorderly conduct and Goethals with assault and battery. All three were taken to the Roanoke County-Salem Jail before being released on bond, according to the Roanoke Times, reciting a release from the Salem police. The news release said police were dispatched to a disturbance in the restaurant's parking lot at 2 a.m. on Sunday and found approximately 50 people in the lot.

Brian McTaggart, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Astros 3B Koby Clemens will be moved to catcher over the offseason. Clemens will work with minor league catching instructor Danny Sheaffer over the course of the year. "He profiles as more of a catcher than any other position," Astros farm director Ricky Bennett said. "He's got a good arm and the perfect frame (5-11, 200 pounds) and mentality for a catcher. He's got good power and he's got a chance to hit 10, 20 homers, and if he hits .250, .260 that's an All-Star catcher.

The Houston Chronicle's Megan Manfull reports the Houston Astros selected 3B Koby Clemens in the eighth round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft. The 18 year-old Clemens from Memorial High School is the son of current Houston Astros star SP Roger Clemens. He is currently undecided as to whether he will sign with the Astros or play third base at the University of Texas.
