Astros | Colby Rasmus taking day off

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 14:52:20 -0700

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus is not in the starting lineup against a left-hander Thursday, April 30. OF Robbie Grossman is starting in left field and hitting ninth in the batting order against Seattle Mariners SP James Paxton.

Fantasy Tip: Grossman ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting only .156 (5-for-32) with a home run and five RBI in limited duty for the 'Stros this year. Paxton has struggled so far this year, but Grossman remains a weak option at FantasyScore, especially while hitting ninth.

Astros | Evan Gattis not in lineup Wednesday

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 10:57:29 -0700

Houston Astros C/OF Evan Gattis is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, April 29. OF Colby Rasmus is starting in left field and hitting fifth in the batting order, while OF Jake Marisnick returns to the lineup and gets a start in center field.

Fantasy Tip: Rasmus ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) and Marisnick ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) face somewhat of a tough matchup against San Diego Padres starter Andrew Cashner, who has been exceptional at home. However, it might be hard to ignore the hot sticks of both outfielders as they look to sweep the Padres Wednesday.

Astros | Jake Marisnick sitting Tuesday

Tue, 28 Apr 2015 16:23:38 -0700

Houston Astros OF Jake Marisnick is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, April 28. OF Colby Rasmus is starting in center field and hitting fifth in the batting order Tuesday, April 28.

Fantasy Tip: Marisnick is the odd-man out with no designated hitter in a National League park. Rasmus ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) had a big night Monday with a home run and three RBI. However, San Diego Padres starter Tyson Ross doesn't present the greatest of matchups for Rasmus or the entire Houston lineup.

Astros | Colby Rasmus out vs. lefty

Wed, 15 Apr 2015 13:50:11 -0700

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus is not in the starting lineup against Oakland Athletics left-handed SP Drew Pomeranz Wednesday, April 15. OF Robbie Grossman is starting in left field and hitting seventh in the batting order.

Fantasy Tip: Grossman ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) doesn't give daily gamers at FantasyScore much confidence against Pomeranz, especially since the Astros as a whole have struggled to put together much of anything offensively. Grossman hit just .216 with one of his six home runs against southpaws in 2014.

Astros | Colby Rasmus sitting Friday

Fri, 10 Apr 2015 09:44:59 -0700

Houston Astros OF Colby Rasmus is not in the starting lineup against Texas Rangers SP Derek Holland Friday, April 10. OF Robbie Grossman is starting in left field and batting eighth in Rasmus' place.

Fantasy Tip: Grossman ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is very cheap at FantasyScore, which makes him. He's a switch hitter, which makes since for the 'Stros to sit Rasmus instead. However, Grossman is merely a lottery ticket today against the Rangers.
