Fri, 10 May 2013 10:04:47 -0700 Arizona Diamondbacks 2B Aaron Hill (hand) was told to leave his soft cast on for another week after he had some pain when he attempted to pick up a bat. He will visit with a doctor Sunday, May 12, and undergo a CT scan Monday, May 13. Fantasy Tip: This is a minor setback for Hill, depending what the doctor and CT scan find this weekend. The team was hoping he could return late this month, but that may have to be pushed back to early June. The D-backs will continue to mix and match in the infield with Martin Prado, Cliff Pennington and Didi Gregorius in the meantime. When Hill returns, Gregorius could be sent back to the minors if the Snakes feel he needs more minor league seasoning.

SS Didi Gregorius will be used primarily at shortstop for the time being. However, general manager Kevin Towers said the team will be conservative with Gregorius' playing time, suggesting he won't play every day. Fantasy Tip: The D-backs' infield alignment, minus first base, will be very fluid for the next few weeks with Hill on the disabled list. The only one that will be playing consistently is Prado. Temper your expectations for Gregorius, especially since it sounds like he won't be playing every day. He's strictly NL-only material for now.
