Sun, 28 Jun 2015 18:08:33 -0700

Pittsburgh Pirates OF Andrew McCutchen (elbow) wore an elbow guard in his return to the lineup, finishing 1-for-4 in a 2-1 loss against the Atlanta Braves Sunday, June 28.

Fantasy Tip: McCutchen ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has said in the past that he avoids elbow guards because of how they inhibit his swing, but after being plunked Saturday, he donned the protective cover. It might not be a bad idea to avoid him at FantasyScore for a game or two just to make sure the elbow guard doesn't hurt his production.

Pirates | Andrew McCutchen hits homer No. 9

Tue, 23 Jun 2015 20:06:49 -0700

Pittsburgh Pirates OF Andrew McCutchen went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI during the Pirates' 7-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday, June 23.

Fantasy Tip: It was McCutchen's ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) first home run since Saturday, June 6, and just his second since Sunday, May 24. So he has slowed down in that regard since he hit five in 11 games in mid-May. While he remains a high-end fantasy option in all formats, his hefty price at FantasyScore means players should be a little picky about when they utilize him in their lineups, especially when he isn't in his finest form.
