Colorado Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki (groin) is back in the lineup Thursday, May 9.

Fantasy Tip: The Rockies are being extremely cautious with this situation, and Tulo was held out of the lineup the last few days because the weather was wet, and the team didn't want to risk anything. They're just being smart in order to keep their star shortstop healthy all year. It may be frustrating as a fantasy manager, but it's better than the alternative: losing him for the rest of the year.

Colorado Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki (groin) won't play Wednesday, May 8, because of cold and wet weather conditions.

Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki said he ran before the game and felt fine. The Rockies are just being extremely cautious with their star shortstop. If the weather cooperates tomorrow, there's a good chance he's back in the lineup.

Updating a previous report, Colorado Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki (groin) has minor swelling in his left groin after he underwent an MRI exam. Trainer Keith Dugger said the injury is to the same area that Tulowitzki had surgery on last year, but the issue is unrelated. Tulowitzki thinks he tweaked his left groin lunging for first base last week. The team is hoping to have him back in the lineup Wednesday, May 8.

Colorado Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki (leg) underwent an MRI exam Monday, May 6, and he's dealing with soreness in his aductor muscle in his left leg. The injury is not related to the area that he had surgery on last year, and Tulowitzki just needs rest. He will be available to play Tuesday, May 7, and could return to the lineup Wednesday, May 8.

Fantasy Tip: Tulowitzki just can't shake the injury-prone label it seems, although his latest leg issue doesn't appear to be very serious. Even if Tulo comes back in the next day or two, you need to have backup shortstop options all season long if you rely on Tulowitzki at the 6.

Colorado Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki (leg) went 3-for-3 with three runs batted in Saturday, May 4, before he was hit by a pitch in his team's 9-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Tulowitzki did not start the Friday, May 3, game because of leg soreness, and he was removed once the Rockies built a big lead.
