Royals | Alex Gordon setting table Thursday

Thu, 30 Apr 2015 14:38:41 -0700

Kansas City Royals OF Alex Gordon is hitting leadoff against Detroit Tigers SP Alfred Simon Thursday, April 30, with SS Alcides Escobar (head, cheek) out of the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: This is likely just a short-term situation with Escobar injured, but it shouldn't be ignored at FantasyScore, especially since Gordon ($4,300, 8.6% of cap) has been heating up of late. Against Simon, who is due for some regression to the mean, Gordon is a sneaky good play at FantasyScore.

Yost and the Royals still intend on being careful with Gordon early in the year.
