The New York Mets will place SP Mike Pelfrey (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list with swelling in his right elbow. P Robert Carson will be recalled in a corresponding move. General manager Sandy Alderson said a ligament tear has not been ruled out for Pelfrey. Carson will be with the team for three games and then be replaced by a starter for the game against the Colorado Rockies Friday, April 27.
