Minnesota Twins SP Mike Pelfrey is the probable starter for Thursday, June 18, against the St. Louis Cardinals. He was blasted for eight runs, 11 hits and three walks with no homers over 3 2/3 innings in a loss at Texas.
Fantasy Tip: Pelfrey ($5,500; or 11.0% of cap) entered that start against the Rangers with four straight quality starts, allowing one or no runs during the span. Chalk up his June 13 outing as just one poor game and trust him, especially at home. He is 3-0 with a 1.48 ERA in five home starts this season.

Minnesota Twins SP Mike Pelfrey allowed eight hits in eight innings and struck out seven as the Twins shut out the Milwaukee Brewers, 2-0, on Sunday, June 7. He has yielded only three earned runs over his last four starts, spanning 28 innings.
Fantasy Tip: Pelfrey ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) won for the fifth time in seven starts and he is rapidly becoming the Twins' ace pitcher. Pelfrey should be in your lineup as long as he is producing at a high rate of success.

Minnesota Twins SP Mike Pelfrey is expected to start Tuesday, June 2, against the Boston Red Sox after his start Monday, June 1, was rained out.
Fantasy Tip: Pelfrey ($5,200; or 10.4% of cap) should be avoided in FantasyScore since he’ll be up against the Red Sox on the road.

Minnesota Twins SP Mike Pelfrey is on the hill Saturday, April 11, against the Chicago White Sox.
Fantasy Tip: Pelfrey ($3,000, 6% of cap) will likely have a place in the rotation, barring injury or ineffectiveness, because of the injury to Ricky Nolasco and the suspension of Ervin Santana. This may not be an ideal start even with the low cost. The Twins' offense has been horrid at times, and White Sox starter Jeff Samardzija will be angry after a lackluster opening outing.

Minnesota Twins SP Mike Pelfrey will join the starting rotation to replace SP Ervin Santana, who received an 80-game suspension Friday, April 3.
Fantasy Tip: Pelfrey is worth a speculative/desperation add in AL-only and cavernous mixed leagues, but his upside is limited. For his career, Pelfrey has a 4.56 ERA, a 1.48 WHIP and 5.2 K/9. He could also have some flier appeal in the right matchups for FantasyScore players, too. And it is worth noting the Twins scored the seventh most runs in the majors last season, so run support might not be an issue.

Minnesota Twins RP Mike Pelfrey is open to a trade following his demotion to the bullpen and losing out on the fifth starter spot. Pelfrey is not demanding a trade, however.
Fantasy Tip: Pelfrey's fantasy value took a hit following his demotion, as he would have had some value even as a fifth starter. He could be a stash candidate depending on if a trade takes place or one of the regular starters gets injured, however, so keep an eye on him in deep AL leagues.

Minnesota Twins SP Tommy Milone (neck) underwent surgery to remove a benign tumor from his neck last month. However, he was able to begin his offseason throwing program on schedule and is expected to be ready in time for spring training. Milone will compete for the fifth spot in the starting rotation with SPs Mike Pelfrey, Trevor May and Alex Meyer.
