The addition of S Quintin Mikell by the St. Louis Rams could make S James Butler a salary cap casualty. Butler counts nearly $3.3 million against the salary cap and is now one of five safeties on roster.

St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo said he remains confident in the remaining safeties on the roster - FS Darian Stewart, FS Craig Dahl and SS James Butler, according to CBSSports.com. Although the Rams released FS Oshiomogho Atogwe, Spagnuolo said the team can still bring him back at some point.
