Paul Sheehy, of Pro Star, has confirmed to KFFL that the Baltimore Ravens will work out free agent LB Phil Clarke (Saints) on Wednesday.

NewOrleansSaints.com reports New Orleans Saints MLB Phil Clarke (knee) has a torn ligament in his right knee, as MRI results confirmed. Clarke was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday and the team signed LB DeShone Myles.

Updating an earlier story, the Associated Press reports New Orleans Saints DT Norman Hand injured his foot last night and he is questionable to doubtful for this weekend. CB Michael Hawthorne has an ankle injury and is doubtful. LB Phil Clarke injured a ligament in his right knee. He had an MRI on Tuesday, but the results were not known at this time.

Jeff Duncan, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports for the Sporting News, that New Orleans Saints LB Phil Clarke (sprained right ACL) was injured in the first quarter and did not return to action. His status is unknown for the Tampa Bay game. LB Darrin Smith (stinger) injured his neck in the second quarter but played the rest of the game without incident. CB Michael Hawthrone (sprained right foot) was injured early in the second half and did not return in the game. X-rays were negative and he is expected to be listed as day-to-day.

As an update to earlier reports, the Times Picayune reports New Orleans Saints OL Wally Williams suffered both a pulled left hamstring and a sprained left ankle on Sunday. The team hopes he'll be able to practice on Wednesday. LB Phil Clarke (concussion) and S Jay Bellamy (small fracture right elbow) were also injured on Sunday. Clarke is expected to be fine while the team is unsure of Bellamy's status right now.

Jeff Duncan reports for the Times-Picayune New Orleans Saints starting LT Willie Roaf missed Wednesday's workout, but coach Jim Haslett said Roaf was just resting a bruised left knee. "Willie's fine," Haslett said. "He's going to play." LB DeShone Myles has been upgraded from out to doubtful in his return from arthroscopic surgery to his left knee. G Chris Naeole (knee) and LB Phil Clarke (neck stinger) are probable.

The Sun Herald reports in addition to the previously reported strained left triceps suffered by New Orleans Saints DE Joe Johnson the team suffered two other injuries. Backup MLB Phil Clarke received a stinger to his left shoulder while covering a kickoff in the first quarter. He had X-rays which came back negative so he returned to the game. CB Fred Thomas took a blow to the ribs in the third quarter but returned.

The Associated Press reports the New Orleans Saints were late announcing their roster cuts today because they were unable to locate one of the players, causing the delay. TE Johnny Mitchell, cut earlier today, said he is not looking to retire again. "I'll see what happens the next few days," Mitchell said. "If nothing happens I'll just keep in shape for this year. Then try working for Houston." LB Phil Clarke, who started four games last season and played in 14, was confused by his release. Six of the Saints seven draft picks made the roster. Two undrafted rookie free agents - FB James Fenderson and S Richard Newsome are on the current roster.

The Advocate reports the New Orleans Saints tendered their seven exclusive rights free agents on Thursday. Backup QB Jake Delhomme, LB Phil Clarke, TEs Lamont Hall and Dave Stachelski, OT Daryl Terrell, DE Willie Whitehead and WR Robert Wilson were given tenders. Stachelski was tendered at $298,000, while all the others were given $389,000 offers. OT Marcus Price, a restricted free agent, was not tendered a contract and thus he is now an unrestricted free agent.

The Advocate reports the New Orleans Saints downgraded backup MLB Phil Clarke (pulled thigh muscle) from questionable to doubtful Thursday after he missed practice for the second straight day. Head coach Jim Haslett said WR Jake Reed (leg) ran in his gear for the second consecutive day on Thursday and expects him to participate in practice Friday. DT Norman Hand (foot) sat out practice for the second consecutive day on Thursday. Hand doesn't expect to practice on Friday, but he's hopeful he'll play against Denver.
