Pittsburgh Steelers CB Brice McCain (groin) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. WR Martavis Bryant (shoulder) is doubtful and OG Cody Wallace (finger) is listed as questionable. TE Matt Spaeth (hamstring), LB Sean Spence (knee) and LS Greg Warren (knee) are probable. McCain didn't practice Friday, Sept. 5. Bryant and Wallace were limited, while the others practiced in full.

Jim Wexell, of the Herald-Standard, reports Pittsburgh Steelers C/LS Mike Schneck is expected to face a major challenge from rookie LS Greg Warren in training camp for the team's long-snapper job. Schneck will likely have to play much better than Warren to retain his starting job, as the seven-year veteran is scheduled to make $665,000 this year, compared to Warren's $230,000. "I'm not biased towards Greg, but in the past couple years I've been in camp Greg's probably better than the other guys they brought in," PK Jeff Reed said. "Then again, that doesn't mean anything. Greg has to do a good job and he knows that, and Schneck has to keep doing a great job and he knows that. It'll be a healthy competition." Reed previously kicked at the University of North Carolina where Warren was the long-snapper during Reed's senior year.
