The Advocate reports the New Orleans Saints signed CB Dee Moronkola to their practice squad. He was a seventh-round draft pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1999.

49ers.com reports the team has released WR Dwight Carter, DT Daniel Greer, FB Jasen Isom, CB Dee Moronkola, P Chad Stanley and C Bruce Wiggins. The toughest cut was Stanley. He was beat out by newly signed punter Jason Baker. “We believe that Chad Stanley is a good punter,” said Steve Mariucci. “He has been a good 49er and we wish him the very, very best. That was a tough decision for us to make.”

According to their official site the San Francisco 49ers have allocated S Mikki Allen, LB Christian Broce, WR Dwight Carter, DT Daniel Greer, S Marcus Hill, CB Dee Moronkola, LB Al Rice and LB Brennen Swanson and QB Gio Carmazzi, who was on the 49ers roster all last season, to NFL Europe.

According to their official site, the San Francisco 49ers have signed S Mikki Allen, DT Daniel Greer, S Marcus Hill and CB Dee Moronkola to their active roster. Allen, Greer and Hill were all members of the 49ers 2000 training camp roster, but they were released before the start of the regular season.

The Florida Times-Union reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have signed CB Dee Moronkola (two-year, $437,000 deal including a $12,000 signing bonus). Formal announcements of the signings are expected in the next day or two. The team is also negotiating with their other draft picks at this time.
