Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia News, reports Philadelphia Eagles DT Keyonta Marshall has now returned from his stint in NFL Europe. Marshall faces a difficult challenge making headway with the Eagles. He was drafted because of his size and strength, despite never having done much pass-rushing, or having encountered many Division II offensive linemen who came close to matching his size. He needed a lot of polishing. The Eagles have a very deep contingent at defensive tackle. "I understand," Marshall said. "Philly got to keep moving. They've got to do what they've got to do, year in and year out, to try to be the best in the National Football League. They're never going to change that, and I'm not going to ever stop trying. More power to the rookies, but I'm coming, too."

Updating previous reports, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the four-year contract signed by rookie DT Keyonta Marshall with the Philadelphia Eagles contained standard minimum base salaries of $230,000 (2005), $310,000 (2006), $385,000 (2007) and $460,000 (2008). The amount of the signing bonus has yet to be disclosed.
