Adam Teicher, of The Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel said he is happy about the hiring of offensive coordinator Charlie Weis because Weis will be able to concentrate only on the offense unlike head coach Todd Haley, who was also the offensive coordinator this season. "Now that Charlie is here, it will be great to have a guy who can concentrate totally on the offense," Cassel said.

"I'm very confident in Matt," Haley said. "Our first series we had a chance to make a huge play on third down. I thought that Matt prepared and was ready to go. The game didn't go the way he or we wanted it to go and then we let some negative things happen."
