Rob Phillips, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells said S Justin Beriault (knee) will retire because of ongoing problems with his right knee. The Cowboys' sixth-round pick in 2005 spent all of last season on Injured Reserve following risky dual surgery to repair torn medial and lateral meniscus in his right knee.

Matt Mosley, of the Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys FS Justin Beriault (concussion) is not responding well after suffering a concussion. One of the team's longtime doctors has been keeping an eye on him. He's the same doctor that pleaded with QB Troy Aikman to retire because of numerous concussions. This is Beriault's fifth concussion and his career with the team could be over.
