Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons DL Chauncey Davis' contract includes a $3 million signing bonus and has base salaries of $2 million in 2009, $2.6 million in 2010, $3 million in 2011 and $3.4 million in 2012. The $3 million signing bonus accounts for $750,000 on the cap each year of the contract giving Davis' salary cap numbers of $2.75 million, $3.35 million, $3.75 million and $4.15 million.

"Chauncey is a tough, hard-nosed football player, and we feel that he will continue to contribute to us," Dimitroff added. Davis' agent, Kevin Conner, said Davis would like to be a starter.
