Giants | Awasom sent home following arrest

Updating previous reports, the Associated Press reports New York Giants DE Adrian Awasom (back) has been sent home from Arizona following his arrest on suspicion of drunken driving. Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon said the team was aware of the situation but would not confirm any details. He did say the team sent him home.

The Arizona Republic reports New York Giants DL Adrian Awasom was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Friday, Feb. 1. Awasom has been on the Injured Reserve list since September 2007.
