Maurice Patton, of the Tennessean, reports the Washington Redskins are intrigued by the potential of Tennessee State basketball player Rod Flowers and are viewing him as a possible tight end similar in the mold of San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates. ''They're looking at him as someone they could possibly bring into mini-camp,'' TSU Coach Cy Alexander said of the Redskins. Flowers (6-9, 240 pounds) is intrigued by the idea as well and said he would be open to playing football professionally. "I liked football, I just didn't play it," Flowers said. ''In the right system, I could probably put on another 30 pounds; I could probably do it.''
