The Green Bay Packers will not meet with FS Nick Collins (neck) to determine his future until after the NFL Draft, according to his agent, Alan Herman. Collins hasn't received all the medical advice he needs to make a decision about whether to continue playing football following the single-fusion surgery on his neck last September. "All the opinions aren't in, and I think he's getting another opinion," Herman said. "That doctor was not available. He was on vacation, so I'm hopeful soon. But I think he's got another meeting with one of the doctors."

Green Bay Packers FS Nick Collins (neck) has expressed his desire to continue his playing career but will have to convince general manager Ted Thompson and head coach Mike McCarthy that he will be healthy enough to return. Thompson and McCarthy indicated they would rather see Collins retire than risk a greater injury.

Green Bay Packers FS Nick Collins (neck) underwent a battery of tests this week to determine if he will be able to continue his playing career. Collins is expected to receive a recommendation on his future Monday, April 2, from the surgeon who performed his knee surgery. Even if Collins is cleared to resume playing, the Packers likely will want their doctor to examine him and general manager Ted Thompson will have to decide if he wants to put him back on the field.

Alan Herman, agent for Green Bay Packers FS Nick Collins (neck), said Collins has not met with the doctor that performed his neck surgery yet and is not expected to for a few more weeks. Collins will have to undergo a series of tests to see if his surgically repaired disk is healed and is able to resume his playing career.
