The Seattle Mariners activated OF Mike Carp (groin) from the disabled list Tuesday, Sept. 4, and recalled 1B Luis A. Jimenez, INF Carlos Triunfel, RP Shawn Kelley, 3B Alex Liddi, SP Hector Noesi and OF Casper Wells from the minors.

Seattle Mariners OF Franklin Gutierrez (leg) and 2B Carlos Guillen (leg) were held out of running drills Thursday, Feb. 23, so that they could rest their legs. Neither will play in an intrasquad game Friday, Feb. 24, though both are expected to compete Sunday, Feb. 26. OF Trayvon Robinson (hamstring) and 1B Luis A. Jimenez (elbow) are still slowed, too, and Jimenez was given Thursday off.

Seattle Mariners OFs Trayvon Robinson (leg) and Franklin Gutierrez (leg) left outfield work early Wednesday, Feb. 22, after having their legs stiffen up during baserunning drills. Robinson left with a trainer and Gutierrez stayed for batting practice. INF Luis A. Jimenez (elbow) also left early with a sore elbow.

The Seattle Mariners signed free-agent 1B Luis Jimenez (Nationals) to a minor league deal Wednesday, Jan. 12, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's Gerry Spratt. Jimenez will not receive an invitation to Spring Training.
