Holly said he believes he overextended his knee because when he hit the ground, it buckled. Holly has been placed on Injured reserve and is out for the 2008 season. However, Holly is confident he'll bounce back from the injury next season and be better than ever.

Wed, 01 Mar 2006 05:14:52 -0800 Brad Biggs and Lisa Donovan, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears CB Daven Holly was arrested after a shooting incident on the Near North Side early Tuesday, Feb. 28. No one was injured after shots were fired from a sport utility vehicle. A witness flagged down a police squad car in the area, told officers what happened and was able to point out the vehicle from which the shots allegedly were fired, officer John Mirabelli said. Police pulled over the SUV and began questioning the two 23-year-old occupants. The driver was identified as Holly. Holly was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and not having a Firearms Owner Identification Card. Holly is subject to a possible fine or suspension from the NFL.
