The Associated Press reports Cleveland Browns CB Daven Holly's (knee) rehabilitation from a severe knee injury is ahead of schedule. Holly said he believes he overextended his knee because when he hit the ground, it buckled. Holly has been placed on Injured reserve and is out for the 2008 season. However, Holly is confident he'll bounce back from the injury next season and be better than ever.

Jeff Walcoff, of ClevelandBrowns.com, reports Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo Crennel said CB Daven Holly (knee) is still in the hospital after having surgery last week. Crennel said the surgery went well and Holly will be released in a few more days.

The Cleveland Browns announced Thursday, May 22, the team signed CB Daven Holly (knee) to a one-year tender and the Browns are expected to move him to the Reserve/Injured list.

The Associated Press reports Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage said CB Daven Holly (knee) most likely will undergo surgery on his left knee Friday, May 23.

James Walker, of ESPN.com, reports Cleveland Browns CB Daven Holly (knee) is out indefinitely after suffering a severe knee injury during organized team activities Tuesday, May 20. The timeline for his recovery is unknown but the team said it is possible Holly could miss the most or all of the season. He was injured jumping for a ball with WR Braylon Edwards.

Fred Greetham, of The Orange and Brown Report, reporting for Scout.com, reports Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage said he expects CB Daven Holly, who has yet to sign his tender offer, to re-sign with the team. The team offered Holly a high tender offer as a free agent but Holly has yet to sign the offer.

Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports the Cleveland Browns will give a contract tender to restricted free agent CB Daven Holly. The team might give Holly a second-round tender of $1.417 million.
