It was the same knee Brown injured Week 2. Brown said, "I think there was still a little bit of scar tissue up in there. I definitely heard some crunching. ... It's tender, but I don't think anything is torn." OG Mark Setterstrom replaced Brown at center, with OL John Greco entering the lineup at right guard.

Aaron Wilson, of the Carroll County Times, reports the Baltimore Ravens intend to keep restricted free-agent OG Jason Brown with a one-year tender offer. "We will put the proper tender on him," Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said Friday, Feb. 15. "Once that's done and we get into free agency, the option is there to extend him to a long-term deal and we will talk about it." The Ravens could use the low tender of $927,000 and receive a fourth-round draft pick in return for the corresponding round Brown was drafted in if another team signed him and the Ravens opted not to match the deal. The Ravens could use the second-round level of compensation, which costs $1.47 million; the first-round compensation of $2.017 million; or the maximum compensation of a first-round pick and a third-round pick for $2.562 million. The Ravens are expected to assign Brown the second-round tender.

Mike Duffy, of BaltimoreRavens.com, reports the Baltimore Ravens offensive line has been performing well over after early season injuries to OG Edwin Mulitalo (triceps) and OG Brian Rimpf (hamstring). The line, consisting of tackles Jonathan Ogden and Tony Pashos, guards Jason Brown and Keydrick Vincent, and center Mike Flynn, has only allowed 13 sacks all season, and just two in their last three games. "They are playing well together," said head coach Brian Billick. "[With] the offensive line it is all about how they play together. [They've played] two very, very good games, and we've got to build on that. So far, it has been great to see them come up the way they have the last two games." The 13 sacks allowed are the lowest in club history through eight games.

LB Jarret Johnson later got involved and put Brown in a headlock. One play after the skirmish was broken up, Brown and Smith again got into a fight with other players joining in. Head coach Brian Billick stopped practice with a few minutes remaining and made all the players run sideline to sideline about a dozen times.
