|Patriots | Tom Brady extension possible|
Thu, 16 Feb 2017 06:27:31 -0800
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady has expressed mutual interest in a new contract with the team, according to source. Talks are in preliminary stages. Brady is signed through 2019. He will earn $1 million in 2017, but he has a $14 million salary cap number.
Fantasy Tip: Brady was fifth in fantasy points per game among quarterbacks last season and had a ridiculous 28-to-2 touchdown-to-pick ratio. He remains an elite option at quarterback in fantasy.

Fantasy Tip: Brady played great after serving his four-game suspension and finished the season with another Super Bowl win. He will continue to be the starting quarterback for the Patriots as long as he wants and should be a No. 1 quarterback in all fantasy leagues.

|Patriots | More records for Tom Brady|
Mon, 06 Feb 2017 12:37:00 -0800
Fantasy Tip: The Patriots were forced to throw essentially all game, benefitting Brady and all pass-catchers. Brady himself said that he hasn't thought about retiring, so he remains a top QB1 consideration for 2017 fantasy drafts.

|Patriots | Tom Brady not done playing|
Mon, 06 Feb 2017 12:27:24 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Brady doesn't seem to be wearing down too much even at his over the hill age. Until he does show signs of wearing down, he remains a QB1 option for next season, especially since he will ideally be playing a full season.

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady set Super Bowl records for passing yards and completions in a 34-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, Feb. 5, completing 43 of his 62 attempts for 466 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Fantasy Tip: Brady put an exclamation point on his already incredible resume, leading an epic comeback for his fifth title. Pencil him in for another season of QB1 production in 2017.

|Patriots | Unwanted record for Tom Brady|
Sun, 05 Feb 2017 17:43:04 -0800
Fantasy Tip: Obviously, the dubious record is a product of the sheer number of postseason games he has played rather than poor performance. Father Time figures to catch up with Brady at some point, but he looks like a safe bet to deliver QB1 numbers again 2017.

|Patriots | Tom Brady expected to play 3-5 more years|
Sun, 05 Feb 2017 10:51:21 -0800
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady could play three to five more years as the team plans for the long-term, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It is that window that is allowing the Patriots to consider trading Jimmy Garoppolo.
Fantasy Tip: Brady will turn 40 in August, so there is virtually no chance he will play - much less play well - into the 2020s. Given the way he takes care of himself, it is possible Brady can squeeze two more good years out of his body, although owners need to start preparing for a decline in performance as early as next year, especially considering history has typically not been kind to 40-year-old quarterbacks. Especially if New England trades Garoppolo, the Pats should begin to look for his eventual successor again this offseason.

|Patriots | Tom Brady looking to pad Super Bowl records|
Tue, 31 Jan 2017 20:19:28 -0800
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady is the all-time leader in Super Bowl completions (164), passing yards (1,605) and passing touchdowns (13). In addition, he is tied with former NFL QB Joe Montana for the most Super Bowl MVP awards with three, and if he nabs another one in Super Bowl 51, he would be the oldest player to do so at 39 years and 186 days.
Fantasy Tip: This shouldn't really be surprising to any football fan, as Brady continues to establish himself as perhaps the greatest quarterback in the history of the sport. In what is likely going to be a high-scoring Super Bowl encounter, the future Hall-of-Famer looks like a good bet to post something in line with his decorated track record in the Big Game.
