Gregg Pastore, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Buffalo Bills DEs George Gause and Constantin Ritzmann may be fighting for the final roster spot along the defensive line during the team's preseason finale. Gause, a rookie from South Carolina, and Ritzmann, who leads the NFL with four preseason sacks, will both get opportunities early in the game against the Detroit Lions' starters. "It's been a good battle," head coach Mike Mularkey said. "They've both flashed and obviously their capable of playing. Let's see - when they know it's on the line and all eyes are on them - if they can keep up with the consistency."

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports NFL Draft prospect DE George Gause (South Carolina) has really helped his draft stock after positing a solid workout. Gause (6-4 7/8, 272) had very good times in the 40-yard dash and appears now to be a second-round selection in some team's opinions.
