Johnson has been working with physical therapists in the offseason to strengthen his upper body.

Johnson is close to beginning a throwing program in around two weeks, and he expects to be at full strength for spring training. "The shoulder feels great," Johnson said. "I haven't felt anything in a long time." He plans to long toss for a full month this offseason to strengthen his shoulder. Johnson thinks his injury this year was the result of his height and bad posture on the mound.
