The Arizona Diamondbacks will not be signing IF Kevin Frandsen, reports Nick Piecoro, of The Arizona Republic. No reason was given. Frandsen, who was released by the San Diego Padres late last week, was supposed to undergo a physical with the team over the weekend.

San Diego Padres 2B Kevin Frandsen went 2-for-2 with a walk, stolen base and RBI Wednesday, March 23, reports Bill Center, of The San Diego Union-Tribune. Frandsen started 0-for-18 this spring, but he has picked it up by going 8-for-19 to raise his average to .216. "It looks like his feet are under him," manager Bud Black said.
