The Atlanta Falcons announced the hiring of Paul Boudreau as their new offensive line coach Thursday, Jan. 31. Boudreau spent the 2006 and 2007 seasons as the offensive line coach for the St. Louis Rams. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports former St. Louis Rams offensive line coach Paul Boudreau said his dismissal was unfair because he was judged despite the injuries to several offensive linemen. "The thing that was disappointing to me was four weeks ago, (team president) John Shaw said it was unfair to judge [head coach] Scott Linehan this year because of all the injuries. Well, I'm getting judged. So what's the difference? I feel like I've been thrown under the bus," Boudreau said.

A Rams team spokesman declined comment on whether or not Boudreau will be hired. Boudreau spent the past three seasons as the Jacksonville Jaguars' offensive line coach.

The Associated Press reports Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line coach Paul Boudreau collapsed in the locker room and was taken to a hospital after Sunday's game, Sept. 11, against the Seattle Seahawks. The team had no immediate word on his condition. "I don't really have anything to report other than he was awake, alert, still conscious and they are going to take him over to the hospital and make sure they run some tests on him," Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio said. "Obviously, our thoughts are with him and his family."

Vito Stellino, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line coach Paul Boudreau believes the team's pass blocking will improve from the Saturday, Aug. 13, preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. The Jaguars' offensive line allowed QB Byron Leftwich to be sacked four times and pressured once in just four series against Miami. "If it was a physical mismatch, I can accept it," said Boudreau. "But some of those things were all mental, sliding to the wrong guy, not blocking the right guy, those are fixable. Hopefully, you can get them corrected and it won't happen again."
