The Associated Press reports former Carolina Panthers special teams and strength and conditioning coach Paul Ferraro has been hired by the Vikings to become the team's special teams coordinator.

Ron Green, Jr., of the Charlotte Observer, reports Carolina Panthers general manager Marty Hurney said the Minnesota Vikings have not requested permission to talk with Carolina assistant special teams coach and assistant strength and conditioning coach Paul Ferraro about their special teams coaching position. He has been identified as a possible candidate for the position.

Stan Olson, of the Charlotte Observer, reports the Carolina Panthers have hired Paul Ferraro as their assistant special teams coach and assistant strength and conditioning coach. Ferraro previously served as the defensive coordinator at Rutgers University for the past four seasons.
