The Miami Dolphins hired former NFL head coach Mike Sherman as their offensive coordinator Friday, Jan. 27. Cincinnati Bengals secondary coach Kevin Coyle was also hired as their new defensive coordinator.

Dolphins | Could transition to 4-3 defense

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said the team is considering transitioning to a 4-3 defense next season, and the team currently has the personnel to make such a change successful. Cincinnati Bengals defensive backs coach Kevin Coyle is a leading candidate to become the team's next defensive coordinator. Cincinnati used a 4-3 defense this year. Coyle will interview for the job next week. LB Cameron Wake would play defensive end if the team switched to a 4-3 defensive alignment, with DL Randy Starks likely moving to tackle.
