Redskins.com reports the Washington Redskins have decided not to offer a contract to TE Chevon Troutman. He was the college basketball player the team had in for a tryout at its Friday, April 29 minicamp.

Associated Press reports former University of Pittsburgh basketball player Chevon Troutman will attend the Washington Redskins' minicamp with hopes of making the NFL as a tight end. Troutman, 6-foot-6 and 240 pounds, has noted he would prefer to play in the NBA. While he has not signed a contract with the team, the Redskins could offer him one if he is impressive at their minicamp.

Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports NFL scouts may be looking at University of Pittsburgh power forward Chevy Troutman as a potential tight end in the future. Troutman, who is currently in season with the Panthers' basketball team, has yet to express an interest in making the jump to the NFL.
