StLouisRams.com reports the St. Louis Rams have hired Al Roberts as their new special teams coach. Roberts, a 16-year NFL coaching veteran, last served on an NFL coaching staff with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2002. Head coach Scott Linehan worked with Roberts at the University of Washington in 1996.

Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Al Roberts is a candidate to become the next special teams coach of the Seattle Seahawks. Roberts, who is a former assistant coach at the University of Washington and with the Cincinnati Bengals, would replace former special teams coach Mark Michaels.
