New York Giants DL Chris Canty (leg) was helped off the field in the fourth quarter of the Divisional Round game against the Green Bay Packers Sunday, Jan. 15, due to an apparent leg injury. The training staff was looking at both of his legs on the field, before helping him off the field. He didn't appear to be able to put any weight on his leg as he was helped to the bench.

New York Giants DL Chris Canty said the team had a player's only meeting Monday, Nov. 21, and reported it was "very candid." He was very disappointed at the team's response to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11. "We got punched in the mouth and we didn't do anything about it," Canty said. "I think our response, or lack thereof, was embarrassing."

The New York Giants allowed DT Chris Canty to work out at the team facilities Tuesday, April 26, while all other NFL teams prohibited their players from working out. "Got a chance to meet with the coaches. It was great," Canty said. "It's a good week for our game. Talked to Coach Coughlin, the position coaches, everybody, just saying hello. Just wanted to have an opportunity to get back to work." RB Brandon Jacobs ad WR Mario Manningham also showed up and spoke with coaches. Canty is hoping to come back Wednesday, April 27.
