The Indianapolis Colts are expected to use their running backs more out of the backfield as receivers under new offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton than they did in 2012 with Bruce Arians calling plays. RB Vick Ballard led all Colts rushers with just 17 catches a year ago.
Fantasy Tip: Ballard could gain value in PPR leagues. He isn't a natural receiver but has shown to be acceptable in this area, whereas RB Donald Brown is a suspect pass catcher with limited experience running routes. Brown could be used on screen passes to take advantage of his open-field speed.

New Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton praised QB Andrew Luck, saying the quarterback would know exactly what to do if there was a game today, and that they will get caught up quickly with the offense. "The one great built-in advantage that I've had since I've been here is the fact if we had to play a game today, the quarterback would know what to do," Hamilton said about Andrew Luck. "That gives you a peace of mind and ease knowing that, hey, we'll get there and we'll get caught up, but he's not going to have to re-learn or start at square one as far as his ability to go out and execute the offense."
