ESPN.com reports former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Turk Schonert told a Buffalo television station he was fired because the team's offense was not simple enough for head coach Dick Jauron. "He wants a 'Pop Warner' offense," Schonert said in a phone interview with WIVB. "He limited me in formations, and limited me in plays. He's been on my back all offseason." Schonert added, "He (Jauron) told me the offense wasn't simple enough for him. We had too many formations, too many plays. I didn't simplify it to his liking."

"We've got to know formation," Schonert yelled. A few plays later, which was in a no-huddle offense, a snap went over QB Trent Edwards' head and Schonert told the offense to huddle up every play because the offense can't handle the no-huddle portion of the offense.
