The San Francisco 49ers could be interested in free-agent WR Brian Finneran (Falcons) if they decide to sign a receiver outside the organization. The team worked Finneran out in October and was impressed with how he performed.

The San Francisco 49ers signed free-agent WR Brett Swain (Packers) Tuesday, Oct. 11, according to a source. Swain had the best overall workout among NFL veteran WRs Chris Chambers (Chiefs), Brian Finneran (Falcons), T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Ravens), and practice squad receivers Joe Hastings and John Matthews.
