San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Clarence Shelmon resigned his post Tuesday, Jan. 10. He plans to spend more time with his wife and will stay away from coaching for at least a year. "I'm just done," Shelmon said. "You know when it's time. It's time for me to go and do some other things with my life."

Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers running backs coach Clarence Shelmon agreed to terms late Thursday, Jan. 25, to become the team's offensive coordinator. Financial terms of the deal have not been released. The team has yet to officially make the announcement.
