Agent Matt Sosnick said Rasner is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of the Pacific League. Rasner and Sosnick had recently approached Yankees general manager Brian Cashman about his desire to pitch in Japan, and Cashman and scout Hiroshi Abei helped facilitate a deal.
