Former NFL QB Ken Anderson said he is working with former Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor, who has declared for the NFL's Supplemental Draft. Anderson worked out with Pryor for two days this week Florida, where Pryor was attending the NFLPA's rookie symposium. Two more weeks of workouts are planned.

The Associated Press reports Ken Anderson will become the new quarterbacks coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Anderson, who served as quarterbacks coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars over the past four seasons, has yet to be officially hired.

Jaguars | Smith Pleased With Offensive Progress

Vito Stellino, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Carl Smith can't wait until training camp when he can get a better understanding of where the team's offense is at. "I'm really happy with the way our offensive guys approached the offseason and they were receptive to our teaching,'' Smith said. ''Really, I had no idea we'd be this far along.'' Smith, along with assistant coaches Ken Anderson and Andy Heck, put together a 600-page playbook during the offseason that focuses on the current players' talents. The players, says Smith, have responded well to the changes.

Jaguars | Offensive Playbook Revised

Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Carl Smith and the rest of the offensive coaching staff completely overhauled the playbook during the offseason. "We started with no pages," Smith said. "Every page in there was drawn by (quarterbacks coach) Ken Anderson and (offensive line assistant) Andy Heck. We said, 'What do you want to call that play? And what do you want to call that?' The approach was that we have about 200 years of knowledge in here. Let's see what we can do. Let's see what we can call it." Part of the team's new offensive philosophy will be to stretch the field with more of a vertical passing game.

Updating a previous report, Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have shifted Ken Anderson to quarterbacks coach after the team hired Steve Walters as their wide receivers coach. Anderson had served as the club's receivers coach in 2003.

Bart Hubbuch, of the Florida Times-Union, speculates that if the Jacksonville Jaguars were able to hire Tennessee Titans wide receivers coach Steve Walters to their coaching staff, the club could shift current receivers coach Ken Anderson back to the position of quarterbacks coach. Anderson had served as QBs coach in 2003 before being switched to receivers.
