New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram said he does not want his personal goals to outweigh the team's goals this season. "I just want to go out there and do what I can to help the team win a championship," Ingram said. "Of course I want to have a big year individually. But, you know, the main goal is to win games and stay healthy and be out there on the field on Sundays." Ingram said he is fine with sharing carries with Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles.

New Orleans Saints RB Darren Sproles (knee) suffered an apparent knee injury in the Week 14 game against the New York Giants on a punt return, forcing him to receive medical attention. He returned to the game and finished with five runs for 56 yards and a touchdown, while adding four catches for 28 yards and a score.

New Orleans Saints RB Chris Ivory had eight carries for a team-high 34 yards in Week 12 against the San Francisco 49ers. RB Mark Ingram had 10 carries, but he managed just 27 yards. RB Pierre Thomas had one carry for no gain. Meanwhile, RB Darren Sproles had no carries, but he did post a team-high seven catches and 65 yards.

New Orleans Saints RB Darren Sproles (hand) said Friday, Nov. 16, that he is fit to return kicks, if needed, in Week 11 against the Oakland Raiders. He has been battling some swelling in his hand, and his status will be decided Saturday, Nov. 17.

New Orleans Saints RB Darren Sproles (hand) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 16, and is listed as questionable for Week 11. Interim head coach Joe Vitt said Sproles is still experiencing some swelling in his hand.
Fantasy Tip: The Saints have no reason to rush Sproles back if he's not fully healthy. Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and Chris Ivory have all combined to perform admirably in his absence. All three are tough to bank on, but their matchup with the Raiders will give them more intrigue for another week if Sproles doesn't suit up. Thomas is the safest option of the three.
