George Sipple, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions DE Bill Swancutt has been productive in his team's first two preseason games, and he's hoping to continue that trend through the final two. He is penciled in third on the depth chart, behind DEs James Hall and Jared DeVries on the right side. "Just trying to go out there and make as many plays as possible," Swancutt said. "I've been fortunate to make some. Obviously, I can do more and make more plays." Swancutt said he's more confident in his second training camp with the Lions. Swancutt said the other defensive ends, particularly Hall, help him whenever he has questions.
