Washington Redskins impending free-agent LB Lorenzo Alexander, who is the team's special teams captain, a Pro Bowler and valuable backup linebacker, wants to return. However, the Redskins are having salary cap issues and it might not be possible to re-sign him. Alexander said Tuesday, Feb. 26, that the team made an initial offer and it was "not close" to what he and his agent eventually hope to receiver.

Fletcher did not participate in practice Friday, Jan. 4, while the other players fully participated.
