Former Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Fred Pagac was offered the team's linebackers coach position, leaving the status of assistant coach Mike Singletary up in the air. Singletary, who coached the linebackers in 2011, could either be promoted to defensive coordinator or looking for work elsewhere. Singletary is close friends with head coach Leslie Frazier.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris, Jacksonville Jaguars interim head coach and defensive coordinator Mel Tucker and Vikings linebackers and assistant head coach Mike Singletary are also under consideration.
