San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said he feels that signing WR Randy Moss was a smart move. Harbaugh feels the benefits Moss brings to the table outweigh the risks. "We feel it's a good move for us, and we're excited to have Randy on our team," Harbaugh said. "Our dealings with him, our research, we feel that the merits outweigh the risks. I'm looking forward to coaching him. What's going to tell the whole story is from now, the offseason, through training camp, those day to day interactions, how he competes on the field. That's going to determine the reality."

Updating previous reports, San Francisco 49ers WR Randy Moss received a one-year, $1.75 million deal. He will receive a $46,875 per game roster bonus that maxes out at $750,000 and can earn another $1.5 million in incentives through playing time, receptions and making the Pro Bowl.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh met WR Randy Moss at the airport when Moss arrived to town to meet with the team. The gesture went over well with Moss. "I was very appreciative of him doing that. I mean, the head coach picking a guy up - think about that," Moss said after signing a one-year deal with the 49ers Monday, March 12. The two hit it off in the time they spent on the field working out together. Harbaugh put Moss through a series of routes during a throwing session. Moss feels the team showed him a lot of respect and he wants to return the favor by being productive on the field.

Moss, 36, doesn't see himself having a hard time fitting in with the 49ers. "I look forward to it. With all the success they've had in year, hopefully we can keep it going and give these 49ers fans something to keep screaming about," Moss said.
