Gerry Fraley, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones admitted RB Marion Barber III's string of injuries the past two years could cause a change in how the offense divides carries among their running backs. Jones said, "We have had an injury issue there at the end of each of the last two seasons. That may have something to do with the amount of time we can give the other backs. That could impact that decision."

CBSSports.com reports Dallas Cowboys RB Marion Barber III (knee) was listed as "limited" for the team's practice Thursday, Jan. 14. Head coach Wade Phillips said Barber was better than he was Wednesday, Jan. 13, and that he did a good deal of running. Phillips added he would start Barber for the team's Divisional Round game Sunday, Jan. 17, if he is healthy.

Updating a previous item, Charean Williams, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys RB Marion Barber III (knee) underwent an MRI exam on his left knee Monday, Jan. 11, and will sit out the team's practice Wednesday, Jan. 13, as a precaution. Running backs coach Skip Peete said he pulled Barber out of the team's Wild Card game Saturday, Jan. 9, because he "didn't look like Marion Barber." Barber was visibly limping in the locker room after the game. Head coach Wade Phillips is optimistic Barber will be ready to play Sunday, Jan. 17, in the team's Divisional Round game.
