Emily Badger, of the Orlando Sentinel, reports undrafted rookie free agent QB Chris Rix (Florida State) is getting his shot at the NFL this weekend. He's participating at the San Diego Chargers minicamp as a tryout player. The Chargers have three quarterbacks on their roster and they are looking to only bring one more to training camp in July. Rix said the Chargers' coaching staff was encouraged by his progress over the weekend, telling him he had the potential for a long career in the league, if not with San Diego, then another team.

The San Diego Chargers have invited QB Chris Rix (Florida State) to their rookie orientation on a tryout basis, according to Chargers.com. The orientation will be held from Friday, May 6 to Sunday, May 8 at Chargers Park.
