The Baltimore Sun reports the Baltimore Orioles reassigned SP Tony Saunders to the minor-league camp. He is expected to start the season at Double-A Bowie.

Orioles | Saunders Vehemently Denies Canseco Allegations

The Washington Post's Jorge Arangure Jr. reports Baltimore Orioles P Tony Saunders is the latest to refute claims from Jose Canseco that certain players used steroids, angrily accusing Canseco of lying about Saunders using them. "I've said any time, any place, anywhere," Saunders said. "I have no reason to run or hide from anything."

Orioles | Saunders Signs; Comes out of Retirement

ESPN.com reports the Baltimore Orioles signed P Tony Saunders (Devil Rays) to a minor-league contract. Saunders, 30, announced his retirement in 2000 after he violently broke his left arm twice in a 15-month span while a prospect with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Orioles scout Ty Brown, who signed Saunders to contract with the Florida Marlins as a non-drafted free agent in 1992, watched him pitch over the winter and recommended him to Baltimore.
