The Baltimore Ravens announced Monday, Aug. 27, they have placed LB Steve Baggs (leg), LB Darryl Blackstock (leg), SS Emanuel Cook (leg) and DT Ryan McBean (ankle) on Injured Reserve. They have also placed WR David Reed (knee) and LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

OG Bobbie Williams (ankle), TE Dennis Pitta (hand), LB Josh Byrnes (back), LB Darryl Blackstock (groin), TE Ed Dickson (shoulder), DT Ryan McBean (ankle), WR Jacoby Jones (undisclosed) and WR Devin Goda (undisclosed) also missed practice. DE Pernell McPhee (undisclosed) and CB Asa Jackson (hamstring) returned to the practice field.

Oakland Raiders LB Darryl Blackstock might get the start in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins if LB Rolando McClain (ankle) is suspended by the team for being arrested this past week, or if his lingering ankle injury forces him out. McClain traveled with the team.

Oakland Raiders LB Rolando McClain (leg) was activated for the Week 9 game against the Denver Broncos, but the team intended to only use him if needed. LB Darryl Blackstock started in his absence. "He was out there, wanted to be out there," head coach Hue Jackson said. "Again, I don't want to put an injured play out there that can't play 100 percent, but if we needed him for something we could have used him if something all of a sudden went bananas where we didn't have any more linebackers."
