Packers | Aaron Rodgers should play this week

Mon, 13 Aug 2018 13:18:39 -0700

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is expected to play in Week 2 of the preseason, although he is less likely to play in the last two preseason games.

Fantasy Tip: Obviously the Packers aren't going to play Rodgers more than they need to. He's a season removed from a broken collarbone anyway. Continue to draft him as the No. 1 fantasy quarterback.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers making progress on deal

Wed, 01 Aug 2018 08:01:43 -0700

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers' contract extension talks have had measurable progress over the past few days, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers has struggled throwing to the wrong jerseys early in camp, but it's really nitpicking when you go that deep to find flaws in his game. He remains an elite option at the position but does have some health red flags.

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw three interceptions during practice Monday, July 30, and has thrown seven interceptions since training camp began.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should not worry about Rodgers' early camp struggles and can expect him to continue being one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. He should be one of the first quarterbacks off the board in all fantasy leagues and will be a weekly starting option.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers extension not close

Fri, 20 Jul 2018 14:02:19 -0700

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has not made any meaningful progress in contract extension talks with the Packers, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers is looking for a new contract but will not hold out of training camp or the regular season. He is one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL when healthy and will have some new pass catchers to work with in 2018. He should be an elite No. 1 quarterback in all fantasy leagues.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers wants to play to 40

Mon, 16 Jul 2018 08:15:00 -0700

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, 34, said he wants to play until he's 40. "I'd love to play to 40," Rodgers said. "I just think that number means a lot. Obviously, Tom (Brady) is kind of rewriting the book. Brett (Favre) had a good season when he turned 40. My goal is be able to move like I do or close to how I do and still be able to do that at 40 … just because nobody's been able to do that and still move around the same. Steve Young's career was cut short in his late 30s. John (Elway,) the same - he didn't really move the same as when he was younger. So to be able to move the same way at 38, 39, 40 would be cool. That's my aim."

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers still has some durability concerns, but adding Jimmy Graham for the red zone should help his fantasy stock. He's one of the top options at the quarterback position in fantasy.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers still has a lot to offer at his age, but he has been spotty with his health at times. He remains one of the top options at the position in fantasy.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers deal imminent?

Thu, 03 May 2018 09:25:45 -0700

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are expected to agree on a new deal soon, according to general manager Brian Gutekunst.

Fantasy Tip: It sounds like both sides will be happy. The Packers won't have their franchise quarterback threatening to hold out and Rodgers will have a new contract and will be able to focus on football. When healthyl, an argument can be made that he's the No. 1 fantasy quarterback, even without Jordy Nelson.
