Packers | Huge first half for Aaron Rodgers

Sun, 09 Nov 2014 20:27:38 -0800

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw for 315 yards and six touchdowns in the first half of the team's Week 10 game Sunday, Nov. 9, before being pulled early in the second half.

Fantasy Tip: Facing a struggling Chicago defense, the potential for a big day was there, and Rodgers more than took advantage of the opportunity. He is one of the safest plays at any position, and he has tossed at least three touchdowns in five of his last six games.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers says he's fine

Tue, 04 Nov 2014 14:30:03 -0800

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (hamstring) said he's fine to play in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears. "I was on a great plan," Rodgers said. "The medical staff here gave me a seven-day plan to attack the rehab, and I stuck to it. I also added in just a little wrinkle, as well." He said his medical treatment "involves needles." Head coach Mike McCarthy said Rodgers looked good in a walk-through Monday, Nov. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers ($8,700) is the third most expensive quarterback at FantasyScore this weekend, but he might just be worth it after torching the Bears through the air earlier this year.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers working out

Tue, 04 Nov 2014 09:27:28 -0800

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (hamstring) took part in the team's workout Monday, Nov. 3, for his first on-field activity since he pulled his left hamstring in the team's Week 8 loss. The session wasn't a full-out practice, however. Rodgers doesn't believe his injury is very severe.

Fantasy Tip: It sounds as if Rodgers should be fine for the Week 10 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Rodgers torched the Bears secondary in their first matchup, meaning he should be a fine choice for your FantasyScore lineups again.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers a much-improved QB

Thu, 23 Oct 2014 10:51:33 -0700

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers had a passer rating of 154.5 against the Carolina Panthers in Week 7, and head coach Mike McCarthy thinks his quarterback is better than he was when he won the Most Valuable Player award in 2011. Rodgers has thrown 18 straight touchdown passes without an interception heading into Week 8. "Aaron is a much better player today than he was in 2011," said McCarthy. "His responsibility level has increased a lot since then. So, what he does during the course of the week, during the course of the game, at the line of scrimmage, the communication between (quarterbacks coach) Alex Van Pelt and myself, he is, in my opinion, watching him grow throughout his career, he's clearly a better player." Rodgers' streak of 192 pass attempts without an interception is the longest of his career and second best stretch by any Green Bay quarterback since Bart Starr went 294 passes without throwing an interception.

Fantasy Tip: Rodgers should be started every week in standard leagues, and he justifies his $8,700 (17.4% of cap) FantasyScore price against the New Orleans Saints this weekend.
